thanks for the replies. Just finished planting my bigger plot today. Added structure in 12 foot wide strips of a egyptian wheat, millet, forage sorghum blend. (yellow) leaving the cabin exposed to the parts of the plot I do not want daylight deer in so we will see how that works out. Planting beans in blocks, (red) and quit the corn as coon and bear destroy it all. Planting the balance in strips of lickcreeks 2 blends in july and august. (green)
going to run snow fence in the screen to further direct deer past the ground blind. the rifle blind in same spot was bullet proof as far as detection went with any west in the wind.
(purple) is bedding and they usually head east to the only large ag in any direction for 5 miles
passed on 58 does and 5 small bucks last rifle season in 4 days, most of the does same (maybe 8 lived there all fall). hoping some mature bucks show with the structure in place this year.
