Who is using the Best Turkey Decoy?

Mystic River Outdoors had a great year using the Dakota Decoy.
What a great decoy to use to bring them big gobblers in close. In the 1st clip watch how 5 big toms attack the Dakota decoy on Tom Harmon & Megan’s hunt. -

Finally!!! Thomas, my 10 year old son, got his first turkey with the bow. We set up the BTD Jake and this bird made a beeline for the setup in less than a minute. He smashed into the Jake and Thomas did the rest. 1 1/4″ spurs, 9″ beard, over 20 lbs. Used the new 100 gr Killer Bees from Magnus and the Bowstix.— with Bowstix.

Well, just got my decoy 8 days ago. Haven’t gotten any birds within distance yet but it must be pretty realistic because it took a blast from another hunter from about 25 yards at 0730 this morning… sure am glad I had it set so you could only see it at a safe angle from that side! I got the BTD over the Avian X for the posture and for this exact reason (avian is inflatable). Definitely glad i spent a little bit extra money now (avians were on sale). Now my 8 day old decoy has some extra character and a nice rattle…lol.

As much as I enjoy taking other people turkey hunting, there is nothing like harvesting one for myself…..just wish I had more hands for the video camera! Entered double digits on the merriams that have succumbed to the lure of the cocky BTD and have more people to take out hunting! Lovin’ the long SD season and the new hunting partner, just wish he’d smile more for the pictures!

Jess Prettner hunted with Blue Line Outdoors today. Got her first turkey. Double beard! Best Turkey Decoy closed the deal again. 2 toms, same spot, 1 day!

2012/04/27/ btd-best-turkey-decoy-for-kids/ Best Turkey Decoy – BTD best turkey decoy for kidsbestturkeydecoy.com
Kids want action, and nothing fools a turkey like the best turkey decoy (btd for short). The body language of BTD pulls them closer, and the realism lets them finish. If it does not look like a real turkey to you, it probably won’t fool a streetwise 4 year old tom, and this is what helps separate … -

First impressions of a new turkey decoy from bestturkeydecoy.com -
Well my BTD and DSD hen set-up worked perfectly. Unfortunately, my 11 yr old daughter was unable to recover her bird. She got 2 shots off with the bow at 4 yards as the big Eastern Tom smacked the crap out of the BTD!
He gobbled like crazy on the roost, and then was pretty silent on the ground. I had another tom coming in gobbling like crazy from behind us across the blacktop road. Once the big Tom we were targeting appeared at 40 yds in full strut, he saw the decoys and strutted right in to them, no calling at all. Her first shot with the Bullhead gave him a haircut. He started beating the BTD Jake harder! Dad screwed up and didn’t have two arrows ready with the Bullhead screwed on so I quickly handed her an arrow with a G5 Stryker…she thumped him right in the head and I thought it was over. we were high-fiving and then he stopped flopping ran, and flew down the hill. 2.5 hours of searching everywhere and no luck…we are just sick!
It was a great hunt, but a disappointing ending. But, we did confirm that the BTD does work on the tough eastern birds in PA!

Great Turkey Bowhunt in South Dakota! My gobbler from this morning is on the right. 20.5 lbs – 1 inch spurs – 9.5 inch beardCame running into the Best Turkey Decoy off the roost and I hammered him with a Grim Reaper Broadheads at 5 yards.

Intense Outdoors put the BTD out for the first time this morning. Had this tom in full strut from 100 yards all the way to the decoy. Shot with the Mathews Z7 at 20 yards. Congrats to my brother in law on his first spring turkey with the bow. Thanks Best Turkey Decoy. It truly is the BEST! GETTING IT DONE INTENSE STYLE BOYS!

Posted a pic with one of my twins, this is the other half, Parker. We got to go on an early evening hunt tonight. Located some gobblers grouped up with hens but couldn’t get any closer than 100 yards because we ran out of cover. Time for the hail mary…stabbed the BTD on the highest bump in the ground, got hidden and started calling. You could just about hear those heads snap around. Eyes on the BTD and closing fast. The picture tells how it all ended. 20 yards, 8 1/2″ beard with 1″ spurs. Probably be a BTD jake in everyone’s Christmas stocking this year….mine’s definitely getting a workout and showin’ results. Up next, my 11 year old daughter….the mean one in the bunch…should apologize to the gobblers out there now, I suppose.

2012/03/06/ turkey-decoys-and-road-bombs/ Best Turkey Decoy – Turkey decoys and road bombsbestturkeydecoy.com
Turkey decoys love road trips. They love bouncing around in the back or the pick up, sleeping in the cab the whole ride, and just doing what turkey decoys do in the truck. They are patient and wait all year for the travels, and can’t wait to get staked out in the field. Myself not so much. I do… -

Best Turkey Decoy – Turkey decoys with stuffing or not?
bestturkeydecoy.com
Turkey decoys are often left at home because they are a pain in the butt to carry around. Stuffers are the worst, as a quality creation from Hazel Creek taxidermy will be trashed in one season if you don’t have a special place for it in the pickup truck, and heaven forbid it rains on that turkey de… -
